Got in some upper body work today followed by a nice, easy pace run/walk on a beautiful Saturday! I’m not an expert runner, just a beginner, but today I raised my goals and in turn improved my abilities! When my app told me to walk, you know what I did? Continued running an extra 15 seconds. If you lower your goals based upon your ability how are you going to improve? Always go for the gold! After downloading the couch to 5k app, and deciding I’m really going to get into running, I broke down and bought some decent running shoes! The best part was, they were on sale! And, I only tried on 2 pairs! HAMMER TIME! My Saturday morning consisted of a total body workout with lesmillscombat! And let me tell you, it was DEFINITELY a challenge! I kept my eye on the prize and picked my workout partner #rachelnewsham :) The low block/rising block-decoy combo had my legs BURNING! The muy Thai combos following it was.. shoulder and ab madness!:) This is my favorite les mills combat workout:) it’s has; great music, total body workout,keeps you PUMPED and, it’s FUN! How did I spend my afternoon on our first warm, beautiful day? By getting in a quick #turbofire workout of course! It sure felt good getting back into the#HIITworkouts again! And even though I hated all of the burpee type of moves in p90X3, it helped improve me  the ones that are done in turbofire. I felt like the energizer bunny- no, that I was on FIYA!:)  then , I enjoyed a nice 20 minute walk with my dog and husband!
